British Red Tractor

In 2024, Framptons and Robin Appel are working with British Red Tractor to develop the UK’s first British Red Tractor Oat Drink using Wessex oats and British vegetable oil.

We will be influencing stakeholders, retailers, brands and foodservice operators to switch their supply of oat drinks from Europe to Great Britain, putting their food spend in UK farmers’ pockets, reducing food miles, reducing carbon footprint, whilst offering best quality at affordable prices.

Over the next 10 years 1 in 4 UK consumers are forecast to be oat drinkers. This supply needs to mirror other strategic categories like dairy, meat and vegetables that are sourced from Britain whenever possible.

Championing British Farming: Framptons Partners with Red Tractor

It is with immense pride that we announce our partnership with Red Tractor, the UK’s largest food and farm assurance scheme. This marks a significant milestone in our journey, reinforcing our commitment to providing plant-based drinks that are not just delicious, but responsibly sourced.

Through our partnership with Red Tractor, Framptons has been licensed to sell our oat drinks bearing the Red Tractor logo, a testament to our oats being British, responsibly sourced, and fully traceable. This seal of approval not only guarantees whole supply chain assurance for Framptons but also places us within a community of licensees that represents the best of UK food and drink production.

The shift towards plant-based alternatives is undeniable, with research indicating that one in four UK consumers are forecast to become oat drinkers over the next decade. This growing consumer demand underscores the market opportunity for our own label range, simultaneously supporting local UK farmers and reducing food miles.

Andrew Rimell, Managing Director at Framptons, expressed our collective pride in becoming a Red Tractor Licensee. “The Red Tractor logo is a beacon for consumer confidence, reassuring people that the food and drink they buy is British, safe, and fully traceable. Being Red Tractor licensed shows our commitment to supporting British farming, as well as our promise to deliver products that are not only delicious but responsibly sourced.”
