We are experts in liquid food, beverage processing and egg blends for the manufacturing, bakery and foodservice industry. Our can-do attitude and emphasis on quality make us a leading choice contract packer for drinks companies.
We offer a range of pack formats from cartons to bag-in-box to bottles:
Raw Materials and Packaging
We can handle liquid raw materials in anything from drums to road tankers. Chilled and frozen storage is available and ambient ingredients can be received into our warehouse for up to 4 weeks before manufacture.
We can blend prior to heat treatment and our Premix facility contains six enclosed chilled mixing tanks, each with two-speed mixers. Powdered ingredients can be added either via a sieve directly into the tanks or via an in-line high sheer blender. Heat treatment is by either plate or tubular pasteuriser. We also have a defrost process plant.
Coding and labelling is controlled via our main recipe database, as is outer case and pallet labelling. We use barcode software (including 2D) with links with our preferred hauliers to enable us to transmit trailer loading details electronically.
Our facilities are approved by many food manufacturing and foodservice companies and we hold EFSIS/BRC accreditation.
As contract packers we offer different processes to each client dependent on their needs.
Receipt of Raw Material
We can handle liquid raw materials in drums, IBCs or tankers, in chilled or frozen formats.
We can also handle dry ingredients, which we are able to blend at our premix facility.
Our innovative on-site defrost plant is designed to defrost 2400 litres of product per hour, meaning your finished product can be ready for dispatch within one day.
Products can be pre-blended using a range of ingredients and we have an excellent range of process vessels to complete this stage.
All our products are gently pasteurised to ensure food safety, whilst maintaining freshness and natural taste. We have a range of tubular and plate heat exchangers to achieve this step to include direct steam injection and indirect UHT processing.
Some products benifit from homogenisation. All our lines have homogenisers which we can use as required.
Most of our lines have aseptic tanks prior to the fillers. This ensures no product is recycled if the filler stops. Aseptic tanks help us keep product quality fresh and natural.
Our filling lines are automated and of high quality. All our carton fillers are TetraPak machines and our bottling lines are made by Federal and Dawson.
Some customers organise their own collection of goods whilst for others we are able to arrange dispatch.
Our Quality team are involved in every step of our process and our laboratories confirm the quality of every production run.
They make sure we achieve high standards, step by step.
We also offer a new product development facility. Our NPD team, based at our extensive technical centre, work with our customers to assist in product development; from concept to trials.
We can pack into a range of packaging formats including:
Chilled Gable Top Cartons
Using our range of TetraPak ESL filling machines we can produce gable top cartons in sizes from 250ml to 1125ml.
Ambient (U.H.T.) Cartons
Our ambient filling lines pack Tetra Wedge, Prisma and Edge in sizes ranging from 180ml to 1 litre.
Our Federal and Dawson bottling lines pack ESL bottles in sizes from 200ml to 1400ml.
Bag in Box
We have an aseptic bag in box line that can fill from 3 litre to 20 litre bags.
We can also fill up to 1000 litre bags aseptically if required.
Other Filling Options
As always we take a flexible attitude to new opportunities.
We are happy to install other filling machines to meet the needs of our customers where the project justifies the investment.
